John Hazard is a freelance illustrator, animator and educator.

John spent over a decade working at Nickelodeon doing game design, online animation and avatar character creation for the brand website including playing a key role in developing Nicktropolis, an online chat and gaming environment for kids. His Nickelodeon on-air credits include the TV movie Shredder Man Rules, the interactive show U-Pick Live and Animation Director for the on-air series Romeo!.

John teaches comic art at the Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. His other comics include: Schmooze or Lose and Frankenstein Superstar. John has also illustrated several children’s books for New Horizon Press.

John is available for art commissions, illustration, and the creation of branded content and comic strips that tell brand stories in disruptive and engaging ways.

Lisa Burdige tells stories for brands and for fun.

Lisa Burdige is a speculative fiction writer, comic creator, creative director, and arts educator. 

Lisa co-creates the Ringo Award-nominated Background Noise Comic with her partner in love and art, John Hazard.

Her published writing includes short fiction, comics, poetry, essays, and short plays. She is currently querying her first novel about motherhood, golem fairies, and family secrets and a children’s book about kooky, confused kittens.

As an arts educator, she’s taught at NYU, FIT, the Highlights Foundation, and many other theater arts programs. Lisa is also one of the organizers of the Brooklyn Speculative Fiction Writers (BSFW) where she co-hosts a monthly novel writing workshop. 

Lisa and John have appeared on panels at both the 2023 San Diego Comic Con and 2023 Baltimore Comic Con. In addition, Lisa has moderated several panels for the Bryant Park Reading Room’s summer Author Talks.
